Vin Diesel has advanced juicy information from Thor: Love and Thunder, fourth film in the saga starring the God of Thunder and one of Marvel's big bets for the year 2021. The actor, who plays Groot, has talked about the film while promoting his new film, Bloodshot. «The director (Taika Waititi) has told me that Thor's new movie will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy, which is very exciting and nobody knows, and probably shouldn't have said anything«.
The last movie that featured Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy was Avengers: Endgame. In it, the God of Thunder gave the throne to Valkyrie, so he was free to embark on new adventures without the need to return to Asgard, so he accompanied the Guardians to his ship. Everything pointed to Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 I would explore this new relationship between Thor and Guardians, but the problems between Marvel and director James Gunn have caused Thor: Love and Thunder to be released before (November 4, 2021), so thanks to Diesel's statements we can now reconfirm the union of these characters in the Thor movie.

As if that were not enough, Vin Diesel has also revealed that the Groot that will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder will be Alpha Groot, a new version of the character after being a baby and a rebellious teenager in recent films. This is a version already mentioned for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. What we do not know now is whether this third installment will feature Thor and if it will be chronologically placed before or after Love and Thunder after the premiere date dance.
