There have been some rumors, but now it's official: a remastered version of 2K's three Maifa titles is in sight. This was confirmed by a recently released teaser video.

The teaser video is only very short, but in addition to the title Mafia: Trilogy it also shows some game scenes and characters from all three parts of the series, which you will soon be able to get in a complete package with revised graphics. The Mafia trilogy will appear for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One and Google Stadia. The studio Hangar 13, which was already known to be working on an unannounced project, appears to be responsible for the remaster.
According to the teaser, we will find out in a few days what exactly has been revised in the three games and what their scope, i.e. whether all DLCs are included. Mafia: Trilogy is scheduled to be officially announced on May 19.
The first part of the Mafia series was developed by Illusion Softworks in 2002 and led you as Mafioso Tommy Angelo to the city of Lost Heaven in the 1930s. The sequel Mafia II was written by 2K Czech and was released in 2010. As Vito Scaletta you could let off steam in Empire Bay in the 40s and 50s. Mafia III then appeared in 2016 and transferred you to Louisiana in 1968, but could not convince the fans as much as the two previous parts.
