If you want to play and experience Magic: The Gathering far away from the trading card mechanics, Magic: Legends now gives you a completely new game implementation. The new title is an action role-playing game with MMO focus from the house of Cryptic Studios; this takes place in the worlds of Magic: The Gathering and is published by Perfect World Entertainment.
The trading card game from Wizards of the Coast has developed digitally and above all offline, into a worldwide, long-lasting phenomenon in the last 25 years. The game has over 40 million players in 70 countries – and now the multiverse is being expanded. Magic: Legends is scheduled to transition to the first beta tests in 2020.
Cryptic Studios have been working behind the scenes on Magic: Legends since 2017; The game is a continuation of the partnership between Wizards of the Coast and Cryptic, which should build on the previous success of Neverwinter. The responsible development team is led by executive producer Stephen Ricossa, who previously also played a key role in Star Trek Online.
Official further details and features of the action role-playing game are to be announced in January 2020. We will keep you up to date!
