Majora’s Mask coming free in 2021

Not long ago, through the channel Powerbazinga, I discovered the existence of Dark Souls: Nightfall, the unofficial sequel to the first Dark Souls by From Software. A mod created by a fan group eager to continue the fascinating story lived in Lordran that so many joys (and suffering) brought us in its day.

Grimrukh, one of the people responsible, had previously worked on other mods of Dark Souls, What Daughters of Ash O Roguelike Souls. But none of the scale of this new project that promises revolutionize the formula of the 2011 classic with a touch of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

And it is that on the one hand both the engine and the assets

from Dark Souls, even seeing that his story starts a few minutes before the fight against Gwyn, but on the other hand, different layers of depth are added to his mechanics, from a frenzied dash in dark mode to time travel. All this with a completely new story and with parts of the map never seen (mostly reused from those that were already created, in any case).

There will be no shortage of new characters and bosses and secondary missions that will give more weight to an extremely ambitious game that we really want to get our hands on.
