Make money with PaketFuxx: Hermes accepts package payments through the app

Hermès is launching "PaketFuxx", a new application designed to simplify package delivery. You can tender yourself as a PaketFuxx and accept packages from neighbors. Each acceptance is paid, but is it worth the effort?



When you receive one of your neighbors' packages, do you like to see joy in your neighbor's eyes? You can then become a serial criminal in Hermès' new app "PaketFuxx". The pilot project, which was initially only tested in Nuremberg, has now begun in cities such as Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden. Here you can register as a contact point for your package and accept 30 cents per payment.

Billing, payments and acceptances are made through a smartphone app. Before you worry that the postman will see a new warehouse on you, here is an open space. The recipient must explicitly select the new shipping option and will then automatically select the next PaketFuxx in his area.

Margins are quite small

Hermes answered some questions about PaketFuxx's new service. Payment can only be made if you have collected a credit of 10 Euros in the PaketFuxx app. You must accept about 33 packages. Depending on how often your neighbors order packages and use new services, the first win can be long.

You must also check if you are PaketFuxx. On the website, Hermes did not disclose exactly how the test was performed. Returns can also be made through the new system, in which case you must deliver the parcels you have paid to the designated ParcelFuxx and then deliver them there.

What if I lose?

If a neighbor does not pick up his parcel, it may not be possible to keep it. Instead, you must report the uncollected through the app and the package will be sent back. It's unclear what happens if someone who picks up the package without delivering it suddenly stands at your doorstep. The question as to whether PaketFuxx must tax revenue is still pending.
