The Switch is getting a new Mario Party! Mario Party Superstars will combine a mix of the best boards from the N64 era with online multiplayer.
During E3, Nintendo Direct announced Mario Party Superstars. Visually, the latest part for Switch follows in the footsteps of Super Mario Party, but combines five boards from the Nintendo 64 era, which many consider the highlight of the series. 100 mini-games from across the series are also celebrating their return.
The boards shown include Peach’s birthday cake from the first part. Space-Land with Bowser’s coin jet is also back. Online multiplayer is included as standard in the game this time around. Not surprisingly after the surprising update for the predecessor Super Mario Party, which was more than two years late and subsequently submitted the feature when nobody had expected it.
Fans should also be happy that Nintendo listened to the feedback. In contrast to the previous part, all mini-games can be played with button controls and on any controller for the switch. There is no need for additional hardware for owners of the Switch Lite. The automatic memory function, which comes into effect after every lap, is just as practical. In Mario Party Superstars, degenerate games do not have to be played to the end all at once.
Mario Party Superstars is coming exclusively to Switch on October 29th.
