Ubisoft has broadcast a live presentation to talk in depth about Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the new installment of the saga in which Mario and the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom characters will rejoin the Rabbids in a fun and challenging adventure .
The plot will take us this time by the entire galaxy to save her from Cursa’s threat, a dark entity whose sole purpose is to absorb all the energy to create the so-called ascority. To get away with it, he has sent her henchmen to capture the Sparks, a fusion of the Rabbids and the Sparks, so that’s when our protagonists will enter the scene.
In the colorful worlds that we will visit, special emphasis has been placed on the freedom that they will offer, since we can move anywhere we want and they will not be as closed as in the previous title. Along the way, we will obtain missions that will be a good excuse to explore the scenarios full of challenges and secrets.
When facing battles, the characters will be divided into teams of three heroes. The clashes this time will have some differences, highlighting above all the fact that this time there will be no squares to move through them. Instead we will have total freedom to go where we want, although the turns and that touch of strategy will continue to be respected to think carefully about our actions.
Each character will use their own weapons, including double shots, explosive projectiles and melee attacks. To this will be added some exclusive techniques of each hero with which you can protect your allies, prepare a counterattack or put your opponents to sleep, to name a few examples.
Of course, you won’t have to lose sight of your enemies to take cover when your turn comes, because the fights promise to be very challenging and teamwork will be essential to unleash brutal combos. Also, in the most complicated battles you can resort to the use of Sparks
Regarding the cast of characters, it has been confirmed that the entire squad will be made up of Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser by those from Nintendo, while in the Rabbids group we will have Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Peach , Rabbid Estela and a new Rabbid called Edge who will be equipped with a sword.
On the other hand, Ubisoft has admitted that the soundtrack is important for the adventure to be more iconic, which is why it has been counted again with Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie) to take care of her.
