For fans of cute round tactics, there are two reasons to celebrate. For one, you can now download a free demo of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. On the other hand, the first expansion, Tower of Dooom, is also available.
Mario and the Rabbids are a combination that you have to be able to digest. With all the cute and motley graphic splendor, however, it must not be forgotten that Mario + Rabbid: Sparks of Hope is essentially a round-robin game that must be taken seriously. If you haven’t noticed it yet, you now have a special opportunity: Ubisoft has released a free demo version in the Nintendo Switch eShop.
According to their own statements, the developers didn’t skimp on the scope: “The demo includes the entire prologue of the game as well as part of the first planet. During the approximately two-hour gameplay, the players can explore the radiant beach, unlock secrets and protect against Dark Age-contaminated ones fight opponents.”
However, if you’re already done with Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and are in desperate need of new fodder, there’s also good news. Because in the meantime the first of three extensions has been published. As expected, Tower of Doooom offers a fresh story, new characters, more tasks and of course challenging battles.
Ubisoft itself describes the content and related story of Tower of Doooom as follows: “This time, Mario, Rabbid Peach and their friends enter a mysterious tower and meet its strange landlady, Madame Bwahstrella, who needs her help to stop Misera’s henchmen, the tower to climb and free their old friend Spawny.”
At the heart of the expansion, however, is certainly a completely new game mode. In this you have to reach the top of the eponymous tower. You set off with a randomly assembled team of heroes and sparks from your main team.
