Mario + Rabbids is working on a sequel, but you already know it.
If it hadn’t been leaked in advance, today’s Mario + Rabbids Fire of Hope The announcement at the Ubisoft Forward E3 2021 exhibition will surprise almost everyone. Nevertheless, fans of the critically acclaimed strategy game on Switch are getting a sequel.
In today’s demo, we saw the gameplay (read, actual reveal) for the first time.
Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Mad Bunny Mario and Mad Bunny Taozi will land on Switch in 2022. They will join forces to fight against the new villain named Cursa and his men.
Due to its evil influence, Cursa has apparently been “putting the galaxy into chaos.” It is also consuming the energy of the spark, which is a new character formed by the fusion of Lumas and Rabbids. The character will travel in the galaxy to save the planets, save the sparks and defeat Cusa.
It also revealed that there is a new combat system. With it, you can form a team of three heroes from a nine-man roster, but this time, the battle will be a mixture of real-time action and turn-based tactics.
You will be able to move freely in the designated area, take cover, jump with allies or rush towards the enemy in real time during the hero’s turn.
With the inclusion of Sparks, the gameplay becomes more tactical. There are dozens of creatures, each with unique powers and abilities. These special abilities and powers can be used in battle to gain the upper hand in battle, but you first need to find them and save them from Cursa’s evil influence.
As the game approaches its release in 2022, more information about Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be shared.
