So came Mario
Today let’s talk about Mario’s performances from 1981 to 1984. Some games have already been covered in “Mario’s Trades” (click the link above), a little reminder, shall we say.
Mario first appeared in public on the slot machine “Donkey Kong” in August 1981 and did not yet have his famous Italian last name and was then called “Jumpman”.
The multiple adaptations to a variety of media (Atari 2600, Colecovision, Intellivision, etc.) are not discussed.
His second appearance (only Japanese releases) took place on Game & Watch (Multi Screen) on June 6, 1982 with “Donkey Kong”.

In June 1983 Mario is back in the arcade with “Mario Bros”. Note that Mario is returning in 1983.
On June 16, 1983, Mario can be seen again on Game & Watch with “Mario’s Cement Factory”.
Then, on July 15, 1983, Mario is finally here on the Nintendo console and his Famicom with “Donkey Kong”.
Also on July 15, 1983 and on Famicom we find Mario with “Donkey Kong Junior”.
On September 9, 1983, it was a Famicom at its finest that Mario greeted with “Mario Bros”.
On October 7, 1983, Mario appeared on Game & Watch (Panorama Screen) with “Donkey Kong Junior”.
On November 10, 1983 Mario was seen with “Mario’s Bomb Away” on Game & Watch (Panorama Screen).
