Tonight, the political talk show Markus Lanz will be on TV for the last time – for now. The show is taking a summer break. These are the guests on July 25th and then it will continue.

This Thursday evening, July 25, will be the last broadcast of Markus Lanz and his political talk show of the same name on television. Then the political talk show will go on summer break. But before that happens, Lanz is inviting guests once again to talk to them about relevant topics and political events.
Today’s show is all about the 75th anniversary of the Basic Law. Lanz will speak to former Federal Minister of the Interior Gerhart Baum about the creation of the German constitution and the great tests it faced.

Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf, a constitutional lawyer and professor at the University of Potsdam, will also be a guest. She will explain how the Basic Law has changed over time and what future challenges will arise in this context.
The third member of the group is the journalist and former public prosecutor and judge Heribert Prantl, with whom Lanz wants to talk about the special importance of fundamental rights, the defensive capabilities of democracy and how to deal with enemies of the constitution.
The last Lanz broadcast before the break will be broadcast tonight from 23:15 on ZDF and on Live stream of the ZDF media library The next broadcast will be on August 27th after the almost month-long summer break.
