News culture Marvel: Disney announces four new MCU series for the Disney + platform

Today or at least tonight was the Disney + Day event and the American giant, who now has the superheroes of the Marvel team in their catalog, used this showcase to give some information about already known series projects, but also to show their plans reveal for previously unknown projects. At least until today!

At the start of phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Disney decided to work intensively on a format that has been gaining in importance for several years: series. An ideal format to develop a storyline around comic characters and to strengthen the bond of the fans with superheroes: WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If …? demonstrated it and soon Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel will do the same.

This opportunity offered by Disney made it possible to explore specific supporting characters more closely while highlighting superheroes who are sometimes unknown to the general public, yet have exciting potential! In addition to the upcoming new films, Disney has offered new details about the series that will conclude this Phase 4, namely Moon Knight or She-Hulk. But those are other projects that are getting our attention tonight!

Four new series, including two animated and two solo projects

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, eventually revealing a slew of sprawling projects which surely should reshuffle the cards within the world, even worlds, superheroes and have an immense influence on the coming productions in the years to come.

Four new series will enrich the universe of Marvel Studios and Disney: Agatha: House of Harkness, Echo, Spider-Man Freshman Year and Marvel Zombies. The first of them that we were able to talk about last monthIt should inspire a large majority of WandaVision viewers, who called for the return of the very popular villain Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn, in a separate series. Another good news about this project is the director of WandaVision and also creator of the series who will oversee this new format.

The second series quoted, Echo, focuses on the character of Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox, who is introduced in the Hawkeye series and whose lore is closely tied to that of Wilson “the Kingpin” Fisk and Daredevil! Eventually, both animation series will send us full-size within the MCU. Spider-Man: Freshman Year focuses on the roots of the Spider-Man characters in a completely unique style and journey, while Marvel Zombies will transform us into a new generation of superheroes who will definitely try to resist and defeat a zombie plague that continues to spread.

Disney also used these announcements around the MCU and around the Marvel Universe in general to make announcements a third animated series, X-Men ’97, set outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe which will follow the plot and timeline of the original ’90s series.
