Marvel Entertainment: Leak: New game with Captain America and Black Panther?

Today’s Marvel & Disney Showcase is eagerly awaited tonight at 10 p.m., as there may be exciting new announcements and premieres. There is already a first leak.

The Marvel & Disney Showcase could be very exciting, with a whole series of games in the works that will be under the flag of Marvel and the strong Disney brands. Even a first teaser for Ubsioft’s Avatar game doesn’t seem unlikely, a day before the Ubisoft Forward Showcase.

But there is already a first leak for today’s program and it doesn’t even sound that unlikely. Amy Henning, who is perhaps best known for her work writing and directing the first three Naughty Dog Uncharted games, and Skydance Media are known to be working on a Marvel title that was leaked back in October.

If you believe the current leak, it is a game about Captain America and Black Panther, who mess with the forces of Hydra in World War II. We’ll find out tonight if there’s any truth to it.

Given the sheer volume of Marvel and Star Wars titles in the works, the showcase could be productive anyway. EA is reportedly working on an open-world title with Black Panther, Spider-Man 2 is in the works, as is a Wolverine game, both at Insomniac Games. Hennig is also said to be working on a Star Wars game, EA is working on the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Ubisoft is also working on a Star Wars title at Ubisoft Massive.
