The hero shooter Marvel Rivals, which was previously announced for the PC, is now also being released for consoles. The Overwatch competitor is set to hit both PlayStation and Xbox.
NetEase used the PlayStation State of Play stage to release a new trailer for the upcoming hero shooter Marvel Rivals and to confirm a console version of the title. Despite the appearance at Sony, this is not just a version for the PlayStation 5, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S will also be supported.
Together, Marvel and NetEase Games announced the console versions of the team-based superhero PvP shooter, which was only confirmed for PC in March of this year. The title is already in beta on this platform. On consoles – at least on the PlayStation 5 – Marvel Rivals is now expected to enter closed beta in July 2024.
Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play game with a large selection of Marvel heroes and villains. To date, 18 characters have been confirmed for the title, including Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Magneto, Rocket Raccoon, Spider-Man and Mantis. These characters have their own abilities that you must use in team battles.
