After the announcement of Marvel’s Blade at the Game Awards and the first teaser, some artwork has now appeared that gives a little insight into how Arkane Lyon imagines the game.

The announcement of Marvel’s Blade at the Game Awards was certainly a surprise, garnished with a first teaser and relatively little information. This will probably stay that way for a while, as the announcement stated that the game is still in the early stages of development.

The fact that developers don’t just use such announcements to make our mouths water is probably also the case with this title. Often enough, early announcements also serve to attract fresh staff to the studios. This also seems to be the case with Marvel’s Blade.

Sebastien Mitton, co-creative and art director at Arkane Lyon, is on X/Twitter vacancies at the studio pointed out. Less interesting for us mere mortals, but there is something extra. Mitton included three very attractive pieces of artwork for Marvel’s Blade in the tweet, probably to make it clear how Arkane Lyon imagines the upcoming game.

The three concept images come from Sergey Kolesov and Jean-Luc Monnet, both employees of Arkane Lyon, and show various scenes that unmistakably show the studio’s typical art style, which we already know in a similar form from titles like Dishonored or Deathloop.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether this will also be the case in the final game. As already mentioned, apart from the three artworks, there is so far only a short teaser, no date and no statements about the platforms. The only thing that is certain is that the Daywalker will apparently go hunting for vampires in Paris.

Marvel’s Blade – Dishonored developers bring Marvel game

From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that developed Dishonored and Deathloop, comes Marvel’s Blade, a single-player third-person title set in the heart of Paris and developed in collaboration with Marvel Games.
