A very credible leak appears to have revealed a release date Marvel’s Midnight Sunand new information about the game.

Earlier this week, a series of images leaked various details about Marvel’s Midnight Sun, most notably the October 6 release date. These images are by writer Nils Ahrensmeier Share to his personal twitterAll have filed copyright claims since then 2K games. This caused them to be removed, but also pretty much confirmed that everything in them was real.

Before the images were removed, though, Ahrensmeier was able to share some details. In addition to the release date, it has been confirmed that the game will be available in three editions, Standard, Enhanced, and Legendary.

The enhanced version is essentially just the base game with some extra skins. These include Captain America’s Future Soldier skin, Captain Marvel’s Mar-Vell skin, Magik’s Phoenix 5 skin, Nico Minoru’s Sister Green skin, and Wolverine’s X-Force skin.

The Legendary Edition, in turn, offers even more content, including the Legendary Premium Pack with 23 skins, as well as the game’s Season Pass. The Season Pass will include four DLC packs, each of which will introduce new heroes, missions, enemies, and more. Skin-wise, the Premium Pack includes everything in the Enhanced Edition and more.

This is a particularly notable part, as the leak also revealed that Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch will be playable characters. The Legendary Edition’s cover art also apparently features the game’s villains rather than the heroes, showing the main villain Lilith, as well as demonic versions of Venom, Hulk, and Sabretooth (thanks PC Gamer). Hulk and Venom haven’t been shown before, so while it’s uncertain if they’ll be playable, we know they’re at least in-game.

We knew Marvel’s Midnight Sun would be released later in 2022 when it was delayed late last year, so there’s a reason for this leak. Given that Not-E3 is just around the corner, a Summer Gaming Fest or an Xbox showcase might be a safe bet for an official reveal.
