As soon as EA delivered the report on the fiscal year 2020 and commented on the upcoming games, the rumors sprout. Also included: a possible remaster from Mass Effect.

It is a fact that Electronic Arts mentioned in the financial report for the fiscal year 2020 that an HD remaster is being planned. But no sooner was this mentioned than the rumors sprout. At least Venturebeat is certain that the planned HD remaster should be a new edition of the Mass Effect trilogy, but without naming specific sources.
The full-bodied statement certainly does not lack any basis, at least logically. After all, Mass Effect is one of the most successful titles of the past years and a remaster would therefore make perfect sense. Especially since there is still a chance that BioWare will work on a new part, rumors have been around for a long time.
It remains to be seen whether a remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy really awaits us. As already said: there is no announcement or concrete source for the statement of VentureBeat. Should it actually happen, this will happen before the April 2021 fiscal year.
