The Mass Effect Legendary Edition was released on May 14th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One with compatibility with PS5 and Xbox Series and has allowed many players to discover or rediscover the original trilogy.
Two and a half months later, BioWare takes stock by publication a whole set of statistics that summarize the decisions made, the most frequently used companions, the chosen specializations or the Shepard profile chosen by the players. If you are planning on or in the process of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, What follows is a risk of great spoilage at certain historical points. If you don’t want to take the risk, we will part ways here. For the others, we’ll meet right after the gallery images shown below.
BioWare first informs us that 68% of the players chose the male version of Shepard, and therefore 32% preferred the female version. A major change because with the release of Mass Effect 3 in 2012 80% of the players chose the male Shepard. 40% of the players chose the Soldier class, while 21% preferred the standard bearer and 15% preferred the Maverick class. In turn, the Adept, Sentinel and Engineer classes share the remains. Global, Players decided Shepard was born on Earth (52%), and his psychological profile was that of a Survivors (44%), just ahead of that of the war hero (43%).
In terms of the choices at stake, the buyers were 60% to save Ashley Williams on Virmire at the expense of Kaidan Alenko. The scale is much more unbalanced in terms of that Krogan Wrex, rescued by 94% of the players. The ratio is essentially the same at Queen Rachni, published by 93% of gamers. On the other hand, it was only 33% to save the Queen in Mass Effect 3. As for the genophage, 96% of gamers chose to cure it, and we also ensure that Tali is assigned by the Quarienne fleet. It should also be noted that 80% of the players managed to make peace between the geth and the quarians.
The developers have also measured the survival probability of the characters during the suicide mission of Mass Effect 2 and we find, in order: Garrus, Jacob, Grunt, Miranda, Legion, Samara, Kasumi, Thane, Zaeed, Jack, Tali and Mordin. At the side of Popularity, it’s no surprise Garrus lands at the top, ahead of Tali, Liara, Wrex, Ashley and Kaidan. Bioware concluded their infographic by stating that 68% of the players had decided to beat the journalist in the first opus, and in a totally humorous way 100% of players spent way too much time looking for the final guardian to scan the citadel while swearing they scanned it.
