Class Master… What are they for?
Masters are NPCs who have important knowledge about a specific class in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This knowledge is embodied in a unique ability sealed in a scroll that not even class guilds have. Only experts in these classes have them.
So if you want to perfect your art in combat, you have to meet them to acquire it, but not only that… gaining their recognition is the key so that they can tell you their secrets.
While some masters will introduce themselves to you naturally, much like the Master Archer Magician, others will be much more discreet and will wait until you have proven themselves before revealing all their secrets to you.
Who is the master champion in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
The master champion is called Beren. His position is not fixed because he could just as easily be staying at the tent he has pitched there Luisanlunes Garden, north of Melvebut also toBorder Patrol outpost. You’re more likely to talk to him in the middle of the day.
In order for Beren to give you his secret ability, you must follow a small series of quests.
Lion-hearted teacher
So he can give you his mission”Lion-hearted teacher“, you must fulfill one requirement: talk to him during the training, which takes place at the training camp of the Border Guard outpost. Without this first meeting, he will never appear in his tent in the Jardin des Luisanlunes, nor will he ask you for a favor out of propriety.
The first step in this search is relatively simple; Beren needs weapons. So, Take any warrior weapons you want or buy them from Roderick’s Forge in Vernworth
The second step is just as easy; Beren wants an apprentice. The latter is also in Vernworth, what a stroke of luck. This is Humphrey, a little boy who will call to you as you pass the city’s portacrystal. Although the would-be warrior wants to become your apprentice, tell him to go to Beren instead. This way you can complete this part of the mission with one stone.
Once these two steps are completed, return to the outpost to speak with Beren. He will thank you for the weapons, but especially for the apprentice. Seeing the young man’s determination, Beren regains his former enthusiasm and offers you a duel. Accept and end the duel by throwing him out of the ring.
- Placing it on the ground, carrying it and then throwing it out of the ring proves to be an effective solution if you are a magician, thief, sorcerer, archer-mage or even an illusionist.
Except this open camaraderie must end quickly, as goblins have been spotted not far from the camp, so follow Beren to help him with this task. After this part, the Lion-Hearted Instructor quest ends, but it’s not over for us yet.
The final lesson
If you rest in a camp and then return to Beren’s tent in Luisanmoon Garden, you can activate a side quest “The Final Lesson.” Your mission will be easy: help Leonin and his apprentices defeat a cyclops.
After this fight, rest in camp again and then return to meet Beren in his tent. He will announce his departure to his home region: Battahl.
If you visit him at his childhood home, which is located just past the border post on the Battahl side, you can obtain his secret champion ability, Holy Judgment.
