What is Matter again?
Matter is a new standard used in smart home products. Products That Matter support are compatible with each other and so you don’t have to pay attention to compatibility when looking for new devices. For example, a device that listens to Amazon Alexa can also work with the Google Assistant. So Matter creates a common language among the devices.
Also, Matter products will have a defined security standard based on blockchain technology. This is intended to make hacker attacks more difficult or even impossible. So far, blockchains have mainly been used for cryptocurrencies and matter is one of the first applications that does not deal with financial transactions.
