The DCP was awarded for the first time in 2009 and the prize has been offered by politics and business ever since. This year, among others, Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) and the Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Affairs Michael Kellner (Greens) delivered a laudatory speech. The aim of the Europe Computer Game Prize is to promote Europey as a business location for the gaming industry.
