The action classics of the Max Payne series are known to be re-released – and now the development of the remakes is apparently gaining momentum. This is according to a new business report from Remedy Entertainment.
Remedy Entertainment has also presented a new business report – and it is quite interesting, as it also reveals the status of the development studio’s current projects. The supernatural action sequel Control 2 is now in a playable form and is making great strides forward. But there is not only positive news in this regard.
The action classics Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are also known to be getting remakes – and these new editions are now really gaining momentum. Remedy Entertainment confirmed in its annual report that both remakes are now fully in production. The original planning phase is now complete and the actual development is now moving forward.
The aim of this “full production stage” is to initially achieve an “early working state from start to finish”. The aim is to focus on the most important gameplay features of the remakes.
Last but not least, Project Condor was also mentioned, which is now also fully in production. The developers are already working on “several maps and different types of missions”. In addition, more internal and limited external test phases are already being organized for this new game. They hope to gain valuable feedback and also get closer to validation.
Last year, all games were in noticeably earlier stages of the development process. Control 2 was in the proof-of-concept stage, Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake were still being prepared for production.
