Just over a year ago, Streets of Rage 4 landed to deliver a punch, and with some gusto dusted off the old 2D beat’em genre. Building on that success, Dotemu’s French continue to prepare for the arrival of the recently announced Mr. X Nightamre DLC.

After taking a look at Estel Aguirre’s range that led to the other side of the barrier, Max Thunder is making his comeback as a playable character, almost 20 years after making his debut in Streets of Rage 2.

The professional wrestler, who already appeared in the main campaign, will soon be added to the list of street fighters, as today’s trailer shows. Max l’clair is slower than his peers and will more than make up for this weak point thanks to his rebound on Chun-Li and his zone attacks that bring everyone on board without being on top.
As the Paris studio announced earlier, a third thief will complete this trio of guests and we will all pretend we don’t recognize the silhouette of Shiva at the end of this video.
If no date has been announced yet, The Streets of Fury 4 Mr. X Nightmare DLC and its survival mode are slated to land on PC, OPS4, Switch and Xbox One this year. But what are the police doing?
