Exactly as planned, the leaker has been bringing us free monthly news PlayStation Plus Essential The match for a while is now back to provide May’s line-up details.
As you might expect, members of the PlayStation Plus Essential tier get three games. Given how late we are in the last week of April, it should be officially announced today or tomorrow.
Essential subscribers will get Grid Legends (PS4 and PS5), Chivalry 2 (PS4 and PS5), and Descenders (PS4 and PS5), according to leaker billbil-kun’s usual post on deal site Dealabs.
grid legend Available to EA Play members on all platforms. This is Codemasters’ latest game in the racing series. Its main selling point is a fully cinematic FMV story mode that serves as a sort of TV drama to accompany the events of the game.
I found it to be an underutilized gimmick, and when I played it for a preview, it wouldn’t save an otherwise outdated racing game. The reviews for the game weren’t great either.
Chivalry 2 A great option for members (certainly good enough to make our list of the best PlayStation Plus games), even late in its lifespan. The game is available on Game Pass and supports cross-play across all consoles and PC, so there should be plenty of players around.
Chivalry 2 is a fairly accessible and beloved medieval multiplayer melee action game with a goofy tone and a heavy emphasis on bloody violence. It offers a variety of different modes, some inspired by Battlefield, while others are just classic Team Deathmatch with a twist.
descendants Another solid addition to the lineup. Descenders is a well-regarded and popular bike game for all skill levels. It’s generally an arcade game, but you can tweak enough settings to make it more realistic/challenging.
As always, it’s best to pick up April’s PlayStation Plus titles before it’s too late. For a list of all PS Plus games for PS4 and PS5, follow the link.
