Bloober Team’s latest psychological horror film mediumThanks to the sales of PC and Xbox, the company has become profitable.
In an interview with Polish publication Money.pl (via GameSpot), the development studio pointed out that The Medium has recovered development and marketing costs, which means that any revenue from now on is pure profit.
Considering that the game is currently only available on two platforms (PC and Xbox Series S|X-not available on Xbox One), this is a good win for the game. The development team has not yet shared a breakdown of game performance, so we are not making much contribution to the success of the game through the Xbox Game Pass protocol.
Our own Tom Orry pointed out that the media is the latest example of the brilliance of Game Pass and wrote about how Microsoft’s subscription service enables opportunities such as the latest titles of Bloober Team to find audiences, and provides people with opportunities to discover new at the same time Opportunity time to experience.
Given that the game has been financially successful, it proved to other developers and Microsoft the appeal of the service.
Xbox Game Pass has attracted more than 15 million subscribers, and between persuading EA to start operating from November 10 to adding cloud streams for free, we expect this number to increase again.
