Following the internet outcry following Laurent Fisher’s latest comments about the geekism and otakuism of certain Wii players who want more memory on this console, Nintendo’s European Marketing Director wanted to express his regret. Regret in the form of a press release sent to the website video games247which essentially said:
I have tremendous respect for people like me who share a common passion for Nintendo, and want to make it clear that I will never, and never have, used this terminology solely for the purpose of insult. I’m sorry that this misunderstanding caused so much misunderstanding and disappointment in the community.
Come on, excuses accepted, eh Julo!
