The long wait for the strategy sequel Men of War II will soon be over. Best Way announced the final release date today – and it’s pretty close.
Together, Fulqrum Publishing and the Ukrainian development studio Best Way have now nailed down the release date of the real-time strategy sequel Men of War II. This took longer than planned, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel. The time will come next month on May 15, 2024 and the strategy title will finally hit the PC. The date also marks the 10th anniversary of Men of War: Assault Squad 2.
Men of War II previously completed various public playtests in 2023, which provided the development team with valuable feedback. This subsequently used the additional development time granted to take the community’s wishes into account. In addition, a number of technical improvements compared to the test versions and of course bug fixes were also found in the final version of the game. A lot has happened since the open beta.
At launch, the real-time strategy game has three playable nations: the Soviets, the Americans and the Third Reich. All get their own narrative campaign as well as two additional historical campaigns and a dynamic conquest campaign. There is also the skirmish-like raid mode. All single player modes can be played in co-op with up to five players. There are also extensive PvP and PvE multiplayer options, including ranked matchmaking.
Men of War II will be released for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and other digital providers. The price will be 44.99 dollars when sales start on May 15, 2024.
