The Mateverse is all well and good, but without high-quality equipment to access it … So the Meta company wants to launch two new Meta Quest helmets by 2024 to modernize the “stable”.
According to newspaper information The information (which is therefore aptly named) Meta’s roadmap plans to release literally 4 VR headsets over the next three years. The two Meta Quest headsets will of course be for video games. The other two (including the famous Cambria project) they will be for professionals.
Why two gaming headsets? Simply because one should be great for technology freaks and the other a bit cheaper. The first is scheduled for release in 2023 and the second in 2024.
Welcome to Ready Player One
Expected to be the most advanced headset in development, Cambria was set to launch last year, but the project has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cambria will be the first VR headset to focus on meta, the set would be equipped with outward-facing cameras allowing for augmented and virtual reality. Cambria will also appear to have a high-resolution screen, allowing for extended use without eye strain. It is designed to be comfortable for long periods despite its heavier weight.
