There has been some speculation recently about the release date of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Now it may have been leaked by one of the biggest retailers ever.
To date, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been announced for a 2024 release, but recent speculation has suggested that it might not be released until 2025. It was also fitting that gameplay was shown at the Summer Game Fest, but no release date was given.
However, a popular retailer, GameStop, is now bringing one such product into play – and if this leak is to be believed, then the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 will very well be released this year.
GameStop published a post on X (formerly Twitter) announcing the start of pre-orders for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – and in this context, they also gave a very specific release date for the promising stealth action title: November 17, 2024.
The post was deleted a short time later, but as is the case on the internet, it was captured in a screenshot long ago. Konami itself has not yet commented on the whole thing and is still keeping quiet about a possible release date for the game.
There is another circumstance that could actually speak in favor of November 17, 2024 as a possible release date: The original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was released on November 17, 2004 – and what better way to celebrate the 20th anniversary than with the release of the remake? Hardly!
We won’t know whether GameStop actually knows more and accidentally released the information in advance, or whether things will turn out completely differently in the end, until Konami itself announces a date. We’ll keep you updated, of course!
