There is news about the upcoming film version of Metal Gear Solid, because an actor has apparently now been found for the main role of Solid Snake. This is an old friend for Star Wars fans.
Like the well-known online magazine that is well-connected in the film sector Deadline reported, the film adaptation of the PlayStation successful brand Metal Gear Solid has apparently found its Solid Snake. The main role seems to be cast by a Star Wars actor.
According to the magazine, Oscar Isaac should slip into the role of the sneaking and assassinating agent. You know him best as Poe Dameron in the new Star Wars trilogy, which ended in 2019 with “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”. Netflix fans know him from “Triple Frontier” and he will also play a role in the remake of “Dune”, which is due to start in 2021.
It has long been speculated that Isaac could actually embody Solid Snake in “Metal Gear Solid”. In a press round on “Triple Frontier” Isaac himself had expressed interest in this role.
Now it seems loud Deadline to be such that it actually happens that way. The filming is being promoted by Sony Pictures with Jorddan Vogt-Roberts in charge. The script is written by Dere Connolly (co-writer of “Detective Pikachu” and “Jurassic World”). Avi Arad will be the producer.
