In the Epic Games Store, the holiday promotion continues with the free full version. After the Alien: Isolationen action hit for lukewarm yesterday evening, you can now secure a very successful shooter for free.
In this case we are talking about the Redux version of Metro 2033 from 4A Games. Anyone who has so far – for whatever reason – avoided the post-apocalyptic shooter franchise now has a favorable opportunity to catch up with at least one title without financial risk.
What’s the matter? In 2013 the world was devastated by an event of apocalyptic proportions. Almost all of humanity was destroyed and the surface of the earth turned into contaminated wasteland. A handful of survivors found refuge in the depths of the Moscow Metro and the human future entered a new dark age.
The year is now 2033. A whole generation has already been born and raised underground. Their besieged cities in metro stations are fighting for survival – against each other and against the mutated horror out there. You take on the role of Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised underground. Driven by a fateful event, he leaves his home station for the first time and ventures into the heart of the metro system to warn the rest of humanity of a terrible threat.
