The next part of the Metro series is known to be released for virtual reality platforms – and now has a release date. The various editions were also presented as part of the announcement.
Metro Awakening is the next chapter in the Metro shooter universe and is set to delight VR fans. The previously announced title was given a specific release date at the PlayStation State of Play last night.
It has been confirmed that Metro Awakening will be available from November 7, 2024. Vertigo Games and Deep Silver will then make the virtual reality shooter available for PlayStation VR 2, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Steam VR and Viveport.
Pre-orders are now possible – and that brings us to the next topic: the editions. In addition to a standard edition, you can also get a deluxe edition of the shooter. But let’s first take a quick look at the standard edition, which costs 39.99 dollars: anyone who pre-orders this will receive the “Field Medic Package” with a backpack skin, a backpack pendant, a patch and a glove skin as a bonus.
The Deluxe Edition costs ten dollars more at 49.99 dollars, but pre-orderers receive a 10 percent discount on this price. Those who buy here can start playing in early access (PSVR 2 and Steam VR only) 48 hours before the actual release. The “Field Medic Package” is also included and there is also a “Memories of Polyanka Package” with other exclusive content such as the Nosalis Hide backpack skin or access to the digital VR concept art gallery.
