The incredible Microsoft Flight Simulator has been responsible for opening the Xbox conference during Gamescom 2022. Also, Microsoft Flight Simulator has revealed new details about the release of the 40th Anniversary Edition. It will be available for free on November 11, 2022 for those who own the video game or enjoy it through the Game Pass service. It will have:
- Four classic airports, including the Meigs Field In Chicago.
- 10 glider airports and 14 heliports.
- 20 classic missions from the franchise’s past.
- Helicopters and gliders. Community requested improvements for these.
- the sophisticated Airbus A-310a real plane whose buttons in the cockpit work just as you would expect in real life.
- 7 Planes: 1903 Wright Flyer, 1915 Curtiss JN-4 Jenny, 1927 Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, 1935 Douglas DC-3, 1937 Grumman G-21 Goose, 1947 Havilland DHC-2 Beaver y 1947 Hughes H-4 Hercules, conocido como Spruce Goose.
In total they are 12 new planes, counting on helicopters and gliders. With regard to helicopters, those responsible for the game have explained how their physics work, specifically how the air flows around them due to the rotation of the propellers.
