It continues in the long series of World Updates for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time Europe, Portugal, Gibraltar and Andorra are the turn to be embellished.
The eighth World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator is here and, as usual, can be downloaded free of charge. This time it’s all about the Iberian Peninsula, which has been given a makeover thanks to new elevation data and aerial photos.
So are six cities thanks to new photogrammetry – Barreiro, Bilbao, Cascais, Coimbra, Lisbon and Malaga. There are also four new handcrafted airports, namely La Seu d’Urgell Airport (LESU), Pico (LPPI), Faro (LPFR) and A Coruna (LECO).
There is also a lot to experience thanks to four new “Bush Trips”, including over the Pyrenees and along the Mediterranean coast, as well as five new landing challenges. Apart from that, you can enjoy 99 points of interest.
As always, the update is free for PC and Xbox in the in-game marketplace, but you have to update the game first. This is far from the end, in addition to the Top Gun expansion in May, four more World Updates are planned for this year.
