People on the internet seem to think Xbox gaming boss Phil Spencer is making fun of Microsoft’s “Keystone” streaming device.
When looking at tweets from executives showing what’s on the shelf, there’s a small white box on the top shelf that looks similar to a mini Xbox. Even the power button looks similar.
This has led many to believe that the little box is a streaming device Microsoft is working on, codenamed “Keystone.”

Back in May, a report surfaced that Microsoft was getting into the game streaming business with a device like the Amazon Fire TV Stick. The report was accurate, but Microsoft decided to refocus its efforts on “a new approach.”
The report says the device will be released within 12 months and will allow users to stream games through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. However, Microsoft has come forward to say that it has decided to “move away from the current iteration of the Keystone device” and will instead “refocus” its efforts on a “new approach” that will allow it to make Xbox cloud gaming available to more players around the world in the future.
So maybe the little box on display on Spencer’s bookshelf is a new version of “Keystone.” Or maybe not. We just have to wait.
