Game news Mimimi (Desperados 3) releases its next tactical game in real time
After signing Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun with Daedalic Entertainment and Desperados 3 at THQ Nordic, Mimimi Games has the desire to self-publish. The Munich studio can count on funding from the federal government and wants to expand its ranks to develop its next project.
Mimimi Games published an article about his official page to evoke his future. Unsurprisingly, this is the German studio’s next project a real-time strategy game. But unlike Shadow Tactics and Desperados III, Mimimi will direct all creative and business aspects of development. The company, which thanks its former partners, explains this “felt the desire to make (his) own decisions and mistakes at least once”.
The article recalls that Mimimi did very close to bankruptcy in 2016, but the studio now calmly sees the future. The team will grow from 30 to around 40 employees in 2021and the funding of their next title that shouldn’t be waited for before “a few years”, is provided by an independent investor, but also by the federal government as part of a funding program.
