Minecraft fans always manage to fascinate us with their incredible projects. Some just rebuild the earth on a 1: 1 scale, others write mods for Minecraft that could almost be games of their own in scope.
Others operate their own Minecraft servers, including the German-speaking Lyria community. The server wakes up a standalone MMORPG in Minecraft to life that works completely without mods, but still contains its own trading system, NPCs and much more.
The moderated server has existed since 2013 and has been continuously developed since then. On a server list you will find the Lyria server, there is also a website. We present the huge project to you in more detail.
What does Minecraft: Lyria offer?
The medieval world with fantasy elements was specially designed for the Lyria server and consists of green areas, snow-capped mountains and a dusty desert. A small lava biome and large water areas are also included on Lyria.
Role play mix for every taste: Lyria offers PvE and PvP. So you fight against AI opponents and other players, but of course you can also work together to complete quests, for example.
Free building across the world: Instead of how many other servers outsource extra worlds for your own properties, you can build your base on Lyria in the game world.
Fight, level up and unlock recipes: Fighting mobs and completing quests will give you XP, which in turn will lead you to level up. The crafting offers around 400 recipes.
Custom mobs and NPCs: Many monsters and enemies in Lyria are not from Minecraft, but were specially developed for the Lyria world. NPCs act as quest givers or traders.
An economic system: You can trade NPCs on the RPG server in Minecraft and open your own player shop. Barter is also possible.
In Lyria there is an extensive (and by the way free) MMORPG with potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay and a lot of depth. You can take a look at the lovingly designed game world from:
Lyria is not the only ambitious role-playing project of its kind in Microsoft's block sandbox. For example, Hegemony recently released a full-fledged MMORPG for Minecraft, which was also built entirely by fans.
