Cargo bike and gravel bike in one! This is how Hase Bikes advertises the Gravit Dust. Do you need that? Could be, if you want to dare the compromise.
- The Gravit Dust from Hase Bike is a “wild” mix of cargo bike and gravel bike.
- You can load a total of 200 kilograms.
- The so-called cargo board alone can carry 40 kilograms and can be removed without tools.
- A version with a motor is also available as the Gravit City E.
- Thanks to the collapsible telescopic frame, the bike can be easily carried and stowed away if necessary.
Similar to HP Velotechnik (test report speed machine S-Pedelec as a recumbent bike), Hase Bikes has also dedicated itself to the production of special bikes for different needs. With the brand new Gravit Dust, the manufacturer is trying to reconcile two current megatrends in the bicycle industry. On the one hand, the model wants to be a practical cargo bike, but on the other hand it also wants to be an all-terrain gravel bike.

For this purpose, it comes with profiled off-road tires, front wheel suspension and a striking drop bar. Without the motor, the bike weighs only around 20 kilograms and offers a considerable payload of 200 kilograms. The so-called Cargoboard is particularly eye-catching.
This is a kind of oversized (50 x 85 centimeters) front luggage rack that you can load with 40 kilograms. You secure your luggage with the help of a flexible rubber net. It is also possible to attach additional panniers to the fork.
The wild mix offers other advantages. The telescopic aluminum frame can be reduced in size so that the Gravit Dust fits on a normal rear carrier on the car. Also note the unusual running dad sizes – while a 26-inch wheel is mounted at the rear, there’s a nimble 20-inch wheel at the front.
An 11-speed gear system from Shimano ensures that you can find the right gear ratio on the mountain and on steep forest paths. Unfortunately, the option of a Rohloff circuit is only available for the variant with a motor. It is decelerated with the help of mechanical disc brakes.
price and availability
You can turn on the Gravit Dust this position at Hase Bikes configure. The base price is 3,590 dollars. The “top seller configuration” at a price of 3,790 dollars already includes the practical cargo board and, according to the manufacturer, the delivery times should be shorter.
