Monster Hunter fans dine extremely well. Capcom recently held an open beta for the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds, and now another part of the series has been announced, Monster Hunter Outlanders. But he does some things very differently than you are used to in the series.
Monster Hunter Outlanders will not be released on PC or consoles; instead, Capcom will release the title on smartphones with iOS and Android. It is being developed by the Tencent subsidiary TiMi Studio Group, which will be well known to mobile gamers. For example, Pokémon Unite, Call of Duty: Mobile and Age of Empires Mobile come from the studio.

Of course, in Monster Hunter Outlanders you hunt down the titular giant beasts and craft weapons and armor from their parts. So far, so known. However, the developers want to incorporate survival elements to keep the game feeling fresh.
Capcom promises various regions on an open world map. They should offer “natural environments, ecosystems and monsters”. You go hunting either alone or in a group of up to four hunters.
So everything actually sounds like a regular Monster Hunter game, so it will be exciting to see how important the survival elements are. In any case, they are consciously moving away from the augmented reality approach of Monster Hunter Now from Niantic.
The statements from Dong Huan, producer of the TiMi Studio Group, don’t reveal much more: “It’s time for mobile gamers to fully enjoy what makes Monster Hunter one of the most popular game series. Monster Hunter Outlanders offers that “Giving players not only an authentic hunting experience, but also a huge open world with the community and social systems that players are looking for today.”
There is currently no release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders. There will be various playtests before the release, for which you will probably be able to register in the not too distant future.
