Monster Hunter Rise players on a PlayStation or Xbox also have reason to be happy, as the major Sunbreak expansion is now on the way for these platforms as well. Capcom now called the release date!
On the occasion of last night’s own showcase, Capcom has now gotten its act together when it comes to the Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise on PlayStation and Xbox. The add-on will also be available for these platforms in the coming month.
Accordingly, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be available on April 28, 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows. Pre-orders are now possible on all platforms. Those who strike early will receive the “Loyal Dog Costume” and the “Striped Cat Costume” as a bonus.
Sunbreak is a really comprehensive expansion of the main game. Brave hunters journey with the gallant knight Fiorayne to the port of Elgado Outpost, where they aid a new group of allies in finding the source of abnormal monster activity. Battle new enemies, learn new techniques, and explore new locations in your quest to uncover the truth about the Three Lords inspired by western horror.
This new content is available for purchase after completing the Serpent Goddess of Thunder quest in the main game. For the new platforms, the add-on will be released with all previously released post-launch content up to Title Update 3 (Ver. 13).
On the switch and the PC (via Steam) you can expect news about the free title update 5 (Ver. 15) in April.
