At today’s Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak digital event, Capcom announced that Free Title Update 3 will launch on November 24th.
This update includes three new monsters, more options for customizing the appearance and performance of weapons and armor, and changes to the Anomaly Investigation, Anomaly Quest, and Follower systems.
The new monsters are Chaos Gore Charcoal, Risen Teostra, and Risen Kusharadura.
Gore Magala molt repeatedly until they eventually mature into Shagaru Magala, but sometimes defects develop during the moulting process. This transformation traps the gore magala between its adolescent and mature states, creating chaotic gore magala variants. Their dual nature allows these creatures to use both gore and shagarumagala attacks, but their stunted growth also causes them excruciating pain. Hunters above MR10 who are able to tackle monsters will be rewarded with materials for new weapons and armor with unique skills.
Risen Teostra and Kushala Daora have Risen forms which, when enraged, unleash devastating attacks. To fight them, you need to reach the rank of MR120 before you can fight Risen Kushala Daora and Risen Teostra at MR140. Defeating both will earn materials capable of crafting weapons and armor with new skills.
Upcoming content will also let you tackle new A7-star anomalous missions, including Flaming Espinas, Scorned Magnamalo, and Seething Bazelgeuse.
In addition, the Anomaly Investigation system will increase the level cap to 200 and add the ability to reduce the level of individual quests a hunter already has. Materials from Anomaly Investigations are also available for new enhancement categories for weapons and armor. With the ability to choose armor enhancements from either Defense or Skills, hunters have more opportunities to craft their ideal armor set.
With the update, you’ll also be able to bring your followers along on nearly all Masterwork quests, including anomalous quests and investigations. Be sure to complete all available follower quests first.
Title Update 3 also includes a variety of new paid DLC, including new gestures, stickers, music, player voices, and the “Hinoa” layered armor set. You can also purchase individual weapons or a complete collection of “stuffed monster collections,” along with an expanded list of other unlockable tiered weapon options.
In addition to the new Kagami character voices released as free DLC, new event missions will reward you with new gear, stickers, poses, and other items.
