Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s Free Title Update 5 arrives tomorrow, and it comes with two challenging new monsters.

You will fight Risen Shagaru Magala and the looming disaster Amatsu. In addition to these monsters, the level cap for Anomaly Investigations has also been increased, two resurrected ancient dragons will be added to Anomaly Research quests, the Forge update is coming, new Special Investigations are coming, and more event quests are on the way.

Amatsu is an Elder Dragon who can change the weather at his will and, when confronted, is able to summon storms and lightning.

In the update, Risen Shagaru Magala managed to use his overwhelming power to take control of Qurio, infecting him into an even more terrifying form.

Amatsu will be available from MR10 and Risen Shagaru Magala will be unlocked at MR180. Beating the beat will reward you with materials and components to craft new gear with unique skills.

You can also take on two other resurrected ancient dragons in the Anomaly Research mission, and face even more challenges with the new Anomaly Investigation level cap of 300. All infected materials from these hunts are available in the furnace using the new “Quurious Melding” feature allowing for even more skill customization.

You’ll need a lot of gear before completing the new Special Investigations that unlock after completing 300 Anomaly Investigations. These special investigations feature monsters with various power-ups, including increased strength and more far-reaching attacks.

Additional event quests will offer a variety of rewards, including poses, Bloodmalice multilayer armor, Buff Body multilayer armor, and even Lagombi ears. The new Monster & Elgado Music: Chill Version paid BGM pack offers a variety of relaxing songs for you to relax and study the blades. There are other new paid DLC options for face painting, layered armor, hairstyles, and more. The voices of Sir Jae and Merchant Oboro will be provided, along with Bahari’s hairstyle.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be released on April 28, 2023 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5 and PS4. It will contain up to Free Title Update 3 (Ver.13) at launch. Ver.14 and later will be available after Summer 2023.
