Capcom recently started the beta testing phase of the new Monster Hunter Wild – and it’s turning out to be a huge success.
The Monster Hunter series is one of the most important franchises for Capcom – and the new part Monster Hunter Wilds seems to have what it takes to be an absolute blockbuster. The beta test phase for the game started at the weekend and is enjoying huge popularity.
Within a very short time, countless players have joined the new action game on the PC via Steam and have already left the last part of Monster Hunter World behind them during the beta. Accordingly, the peak number of simultaneous players in the beta on Steam was a whopping 463,798 gamers. With almost half a million gamers at the same time, the game has already landed in the top 5 most played titles on Steam.
Even better for Capcom: The beta of Monter Hunter Wilds is already more successful on Steam than the previous top title in the series on the platform, Monter Hunter World. While Monster Hunter Rise wasn’t quite as successful on PC, Monster Hunter World’s peak was 334,684 simultaneous gamers; This top value was achieved when the game was released and is already impressive in itself. The current beta of Wilds goes one step further!
The beta can still be played until tomorrow, Sunday, November 3rd, 2024.
