Monster Hunter Wilds has fallen victim to a new, very classic leak

classic, Fallen, Hunter, Leak, Monster, victim, Wilds

The hugely successful Monster Hunter Wilds open beta continues to leak elements of the final game, this time through images that oscillate between classy and cute.

At the beginning of November, hunters around the world were able to try out Monster Hunter Wilds for the first time via an open beta. This proved to be a treasure trove of information for the final version of Capcom’s highly anticipated title on February 28, 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. Last week, some of the monsters we’ll encounter there were leaked. This week it’s time for new leaks, this time it’s about our hunter and his trusty Palico.

New measurable leaks for Monster Hunter Wilds

Not content with introducing new monsters to explore in the context of the vast new climate-change-driven world, Monster Hunter Wilds also brings back iconic enemies from previous episodes. Of course, who says that hunting monsters means making armor and weapons from various parts of their bodies. That’s exactly what interests us about the latest leaks.

Dataminers from the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta have actually discovered the presence of armor associated with previously leaked monsters. So much for ours hunter (without further distinction between outfits for men and women, a first in a Monster Hunter) that for us fighting cat. In the first case, this allows us to find out what the armor of Seregios, Lagiacrus, Nerscylla and Gypceros looks like. The biggest leak, however, concerns the armor our Palico can wear. We know that Capcom takes great pleasure in designing extraordinary outfits for these little creatures.

If we are to believe the 24 armor sets leaked from the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta, this new title should be no exception to the rule. We’re always entitled to armor that’s alternately crazy and adorable. However, the armor of both our Palico and our Hunter will have a function other than just cosmetic purposes. Each set has unique stats and abilities to create a build that suits our play style or targets a specific monster. Finally we see a monkey in the leaked Palico armor. This could hint at possible crossovers between Monster Hunter Wilds and Monster Hunter Outlanders, the recently announced upcoming free-to-play mobile game.
