Monster Hunter World players on PC will soon be exposed to the Iceborne extension, and we've compiled all the details you should know.
Four months after the first release on the host, Monster Hunter WorldA large-scale Iceborne expansion will take place on the PC this week. Iceborne has introduced a new biome-Hoarfrost Reach-and a large number of old and new monsters into the game world.

Monster Hunter World: Iceberg PC startup time
Iceborne will launch on Steam on Thursday, January 9. The extension will go live globally 9 AM EST, 12 PM EST, 5 PM UK That day.

Capcom has confirmed that, unfortunately, we cannot preload Iceborne before the launch date, so everyone must start downloading it at the same time on Thursday.
Monster Hunter World: Iceberg PC Download Size
When Iceborne starts, it will prompt all Monster Hunter World players on your PC to download the patch (version 10.12.00). This patch is required whether or not you actually own Iceborne.
As you might have guessed, you are actually using this patch to download all the extensions. That's why it takes up to 48GB Available space. If you have a high-resolution texture pack installed, you will download another 45GB On it.
You will not be able to play the game until you download and install this patch, so keep this in mind.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne PC Patch Details
Patch 10.12.00 (essentially Iceborne itself) will release a whole bunch of new content for users with extensions. Unless you buy Iceborne, you won't be able to access things like new story content, master ranks, Hoarfrost Reach, new weapons, and all new monsters.
However, all players will benefit from many enhanced quality of life and comprehensive balance adjustments. These include new dynamic difficulty (to ensure that groups of two or three players are not too challenging for monsters), a new Guardian Armor (Guard Armor), making it easier for you to enjoy all the basic game content and a lot of Weapon changes.
Monster Hunter World: Icefield-Master Edition Release Date
If you are new to Monster Hunter World and want to buy basic games and Iceborne at once, then don't forget to use the Master Edition. This version of the game will launch shortly after everyone launches Iceborne on January 9.

Beyond Monster Hunter World: Icefield Launch
Capcom is working to reduce the wait time between the console and PC patches, and release new content and fixes as close as possible at the same time. Fundamentally, this means that newly added content, some of which is already enjoyed by console players, will reach the PC faster.
It all started in February, and Monster Hunter World will undergo its first major update in 2020. The patch (version 11.50.00) will be released in early February and will add Rajang as a new monster, Resident Evil 2 Raccoon City missions and bring more features to your personal room. In mid-February, the "Happy Holidays" seasonal event will be launched on the PC.
In late March, the update 12.00.00 will add more monsters, and more details will be provided at launch.
