News culture Morbius: After Venom, Spider-Man’s enemy offers a new dark and vampiric trailer
Sony owns the Spider-Man franchise and intends to take full advantage of it: we will soon be entitled to a film dedicated to Morbius and located in the Spider-Verse, alongside Venom. Here is a brand new trailer.
Spider-Man No Way Home will mark the end of Tom Holland and his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after which the superhero will return exclusively to Sony: it’s no secret, and in order to relax with dignity, the Japanese company has been planning for quite a long time – Standing plan. This will take the form of the “Spider-Verse”, a universe of its own that expands to include the spider.
you’re Morbius in the movie
From now on, Sony Pictures attacks to accentuate its communication about the next work on this future grand building, none other than Morbius: Peter Parker’s well-known enemy in the comics, this is the very first time this super villain, created in 1974, appears in theaters and he is played by Jared Leto for the occasion.
Michael Morbius, a doctor by trade, discovers that he suffers from an extremely rare blood disease that he will try to cure thanks to a scientific experiment with bats. He will then accidentally gain super powers it will allow him to fly, increase his awareness or increase his strength tenfold, but will also generate a dramatic … bloodlust.
A darker tone that stays true to the character?
A brand new trailer has just been released to give you your first foot in the dark atmosphere of this Daniel Espinosa film., to whom we owe the films Life: Unknown Origin or Child 44. The opportunity to also see Michael Keaton, a priori resuming his role of the vulture introduced in the MCU and heading again towards a very likely multiverse. It also makes a direct reference to Venom, not without some teasing.
Obviously, the question remains the same as with Venom: Does the production make this super villain into a super nice that can be loved by the public while remaining accessible, or will it remain true to the original character? The trailer presents a certain duality between Morbius’ goodwill and his ability to work in evil, suggesting a “subtle” mix of the two to please everyone. On the other hand, the terrible character of these prota / antagonists should also calm some pessimists … Suffice it to say, we keep our fingers crossed to avoid the cold shower.
Morbius will hit theaters in France on January 26th. Note that other Spider-Verse films are also planned and already formalized, such as Kraven the Hunter. As for Spider-Man and Venom, one day they should cross paths …
