Due to growing coronavirus problems, Mortal Kombat 11 developer NetherRealm has cancelled the live audience and Last Chance Qualifier event for this year's final Kombat competition.
The two events were originally scheduled to take place in Chicago this weekend, after which NetherRealm cancelled the game later on Friday. Currently, only finalists and staff can enter the competition venue.
"Due to the escalation of concerns and warnings about COVID-19 (coronary virus), we have made a difficult decision to no longer schedule the final 2020 Kombat live broadcast scheduled for Sunday, March 8th at the Park West Theatre in Chicago , "The statement.
"Furthermore, we cancelled the Last Chance Qualifier event scheduled for tomorrow, March 8th, at the Ignite Gaming Lounge in Skokie, Illinois. We know this disappoints those who plan to participate. This decision was made to protect us The health and safety of our players, fans and employees. "
Some ticket holders have turned to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction with NetherRealm's last-minute change plan.
Personally, I think it is irresponsible to wait until today. If you were to cancel LCQ, you should have done it a few days ago so that people would not go there again. Some came from abroad.

You actually have more than 150 to 200 competitors in Chicago to participate in your Last Chance Qualifer and shut it down in less than 24 hours of notice. This is unacceptable.
Pay money, everyone who travels for the competition should be compensated @NetherRealm with @Warner Bros
