Now, in an interview with Bustle, Mrs. Weber herself, Dakota Johnson, talks about her reaction to others’ reactions to the film, as well as her feelings about the negative reviews.

After being asked if her recent experience was weird, Johnson said: “Yeah. I went to the Los Angeles premiere of Mrs. Weber and then went to Mexico City. I had pneumonia and was on steroids and nebulized machine, doing all these little things, and I was really, really sick and feeling terrible. I looked terrible. I thought, duh. And then the movie came out and it was… [Pauses.] Like, I couldn’t take anything seriously at all. I have no idea. ”
When asked about the comments and whether it bothers her when people write nasty comments, she simply said, “Unfortunately, I’m not surprised that things turned out the way they did.” Honestly, I don’t either. no. She explained that she wasn’t surprised by the outcome of “Mrs. Weber,” saying, “It’s so hard to make movies, and that’s even starting to happen in these big movies.” That’s what really scares me – decisions are made by committee, and art doesn’t do well when it’s made by committee. Movies are made by filmmakers and a surrounding team of artists. You can’t create art based on numbers and algorithms.
“But making that movie was definitely an experience for me. I’d never done anything like it before. I’ll probably never do anything like it again because I didn’t make sense in that world. I know that now. But sometimes in this industry you sign something and it’s one thing and then when you make it it becomes something completely different and you’re like, wait, what? But it was a real learning experience It’s not nice to experience, and of course, be a part of something being torn to pieces, but I can’t say I don’t understand it.”
“Teared to Pieces” is so accurate that a previous report from The Hollywood Reporter even stated that the movie did so poorly that we wouldn’t see another “Mrs. Webb” movie for at least a decade. oops! I’m sure the Kraven the Hunter movie will print money.
