A smashing success for PSVR 2 since its launch in 2023? In any case, Sony has huge ambitions and wants to avoid a similar scenario to the PS5 when it is released.
If Sony can’t predict the future, it wants to plan ahead with its PSVR 2.
A big launch for PSVR 2?
Will PSVR 2 Adopt Faster Than PS VR 1? Nobody knows, but there will be solid stocks at the 2023 release.

The launch, expected for early 2023, would also coincide with the end, or at least a strong alleviation of the PS5 shortage. Data that seems to confirm that the helmet has been postponed for this reason.
But in order for it to be sold, the price must be acceptable. For example, if it exceeds 599 dollars, things could get complicated for the manufacturer. But be careful with the price increase of the PlayStation 5 or the Meta Quest 2…
Sony pulls out the check book
At launch, the PSVR 2 will have more than 20 games including Resident Evil Village, No Man’s Sky, Firewall Ultra, The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners 2 or even Horizon Call of the Mountain. And much more…because PlayStation intends to change the Trial version through massive investments.
Significant sums are currently set aside for partnerships with independent and third-party developers to guarantee a significant amount of compelling VR content at PSVR2’s launch. That energy, effort and money spent will continue to grow as the installed base of PlayStation VR 2 headsets also grows.
