news culture ‘Much More Physical And Dangerous’ Season 2 of The Last of Us promises a lot to fans
Those responsible for The Last of Us seem to have listened to fan criticism: The second season of the show should contain more “physical” scenes.
“Raise the Level”
The first season of The Last of Us series has received great reviews from critics and fans alike. HBO quickly broke viewership records and didn’t wait long to order a new season. Among the few public protests, we note the rarity of the action scenes. It’s true that this adaptation of the game developed by Naughty Dog is very interested in character development and doesn’t hesitate to bet on intimate scenes. The fans are reassured, their complaints seem to have been taken into account.
Craig Mazin, writer and director of the series, has actually announced that the second season “more physical and dangerous“. In the lines of meeting, he reiterated his desire not to move away from the game he is adapting. It also promises to raise the bar in all sliders.
From a process perspective, Neil and I are pretty much in agreement that we’re not going to change anything. I mean our process worked. We worked really well together. (…) We stayed close to the game, sometimes we moved away from it, but this process worked very well. We will surpass ourselves in many ways. (…) We will also further develop the technology we use. We learned a lot, especially about the infected and how to better represent the scenes in which they are present. That’s why we will continue to raise the bar. Ellie at the center of the story
We already know that this new season will follow the events of The Last of Us Part II. The team behind the series announced that this second season would not be the last and that the events of the second game could last for two seasons in total. The showrunners have previously stated that the character of Ellie will be the focus of this second season. We must be patient before discovering the new adventures of The Last of Us survivors since the shooting has not started yet.
